Aurora - Adopted

Introducing Aurora:

Aurora went into foster in Hampshire on 24th November 2025.

Aurora is an absolute angel who loves her trusted people and is a delight to have around. Despite her difficult start, she is a gentle and affectionate girl. Although she can be shy at first, she is so excited to see her familiar people and have a fuss made of her. She walks happily on the lead and has enjoyed going to the forest, the beach and around her local area with her foster family. She gets on very well with the resident dog, ignores our cat and is clean in the house. She is happy to snuggle up on the sofa for the day once she has had an outing in the morning. She has been left at home for a couple of hours without issue and happily sleeps downstairs all night with our resident dog. Although Aurora has massively increased in confidence since she arrived which has been amazing to see, she is still getting used to all the different sights and sounds of her new life. Her new family will need to take things at a pace she is comfortable with as too many new things at once can overwhelm her and she will still sometimes shut down if it is all too much. With careful introduction to new experiences she generally takes them in her stride and learns quickly that something is safe. She can be a little wary of some visitors but generally is fine with adults and teenagers coming in and out of the house, however, due to her shy and gentle nature she would be best suited to a quiet home without children under 12. She can be nervous of sudden movements and loud voices so it is likely that she would find younger children and busy households stressful. She has lived with dog savvy teenagers in her foster home without issue. Aurora would benefit from living with a calm adult dog to help her confidence. At the moment Aurora has only experienced short car journeys which she does not really enjoy. Although she makes no fuss at all, she is sometimes sick in the car. It is possible that this will pass as she becomes more used to the car and she enjoys her outings once the car journey is over..

Her Story

Aurora was dumped on a country road far away from everything, it looked like she had recently given birth. Our volunteer looked everywhere for her pups but it seemed she was abandoned without themπŸ˜”
