Lira - Adopted
This is adorable Lira:
Lira came into foster in Northamptonshire on the 9th February 2026.
Tiny at just 4kg (9lbs), with her lovely long legs, she has settled in beautifully to home life. She is a super sweet, gentle, loving and very submissive little girl. A sensitive little soul, Lira thrives on reassurance and companionship. She gets adorably excited when greeting her people — jumping up with little squeaks of happiness — but she is also wonderfully calm in the house, happily snoozing for hours and enjoying cuddles. She follows her foster mum around everywhere and simply loves being close. Now that she has settled into a consistent, loving routine, her toileting is going well and her eyes and coat are starting to sparkle. She enjoys running around the garden having zoomies and especially loves playing with the resident little dog. She is now walking nicely on a lead alongside her friend and really enjoys her outings. She travels well in the van too. Lira can get very excited at mealtimes, but she is learning quickly and will now sit and calm herself for her food. She is clever and beginning to understand boundaries — waiting more patiently at doors for food times and walkies. She recently met two dog-savvy young grandchildren. Although she was a little wary at first, she settled after some time and gentle reassurance. Lira sleeps well in her own bed and has been left for up to a couple of hours with the resident dog without any issues. She is a truly special little girl — sensitive, affectionate and full of love — and she will make a wonderful addition to the right home. We absolutely adore her.
UPDATE Lira was left totally on her own today for a short time and she coped beautifully.
Her Story
Lira was rescued from a gypsy camp by an old lady who lived nearby. Now the lady is very poorly and is at end of life, so she asked our volunteer for help.
