Delmie came into foster in Cambridgeshire on the 21st July 2025.
Temperament: Affectionate, gentle, and loyal
Delmie is a young pup with an old soul – gentle, loving, and happiest when she’s tucked up close to her humans. From the moment she arrived in her foster home, she settled in with ease, as if she’d always been part of the family. She’s a wonderfully affectionate little girl, who’s made it her personal mission to be wherever her people are (especially if there’s a comfy lap involved).
She’s quietly confident, easy-going, and has a soft, sweet nature that makes her a joy to be around. Delmie gets on well with other dogs and enjoys a little play, but she’s not one to rough and tumble all day – she’d much rather curl up with you, a favourite blanket, or an item of clothing that smells like someone she loves. It’s the little things that make her happy.
She’s responsive, comes when called, and always aims to please. Mealtimes are a definite highlight, and she’s a polite little eater with a healthy appetite. Her foster hasn’t noticed any limping or issues with her movement – she seems perfectly comfortable and walks normally. Whatever she may have been through before arriving into care, it hasn’t dimmed her loving spirit in the slightest.
Delmie would thrive in a calm home where she can feel safe and cherished. She’s a true lap dog – one of those rare pups who just wants to be close, give cuddles, and soak up all the love she can find. She doesn’t ask for much, just a soft place to rest her head and someone kind to curl up beside.
The perfect home for Delmie would offer:
• Plenty of human company and affection
• A calm and loving environment
• A doggy friend would be lovely, but not essential
• A soft blanket or jumper to snuggle with (preferably scented like you!)

Her Story
Delmie was found on the side of the road in a pile of rubbish. She was extremely sick, could hardly lift her head, and was full of fleas and ticks. Since being rescued, she has morphed into the sweetest, gentlest and cuddliest soul.
