Lusia came into foster in Bedfordshire on 10th May 2025.
Age: 1.5 years
Weight: 5kg
This adorable small dog has made incredible strides in her journey to confidence. Initially scared of everything, she has blossomed into a happy and comfortable companion around the house. Her growing confidence is a testament to her resilience and the loving environment she has been in.
Current Challenges:
She is still quite nervous about having a lead put on her, which makes walks a bit challenging. However, she is slowly getting used to car rides, showing promising signs of overcoming her fears.
Social Butterfly:
She thrives around quiet children aged 8 and above and gets along well with other calm dogs. These positive interactions are helping her build trust and confidence.
Home Alone:
She is okay to be left at home for a couple of hours at a time, making her a great fit for families with a busy schedule.
Ideal Home:
Lead Training: A patient adopter who can gradually desensitize her to the lead, using treats and praise to encourage calm behavior.
Car Rides: Someone who can continue with short, positive car rides to build her confidence.
Socialisation: A home with calm children and dogs to reinforce her positive experiences.
With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Lusia will continue to grow in confidence and bring joy to her new family. 🐾

Her Story
This lovely girl is Rozina's mum. Rozina, now happily adopted in the UK, first came to our attention through a vet who we work with. He reached out to ask for help with Rozina, and thanks to that, she found her forever home.
Now, he has asked for help again—this time for Rozina’s mother. His own mother, who is elderly and unwell, can no longer care for Lusia and he asked of our help to find her the loving home she deserves too..
Lusia comes with full rescue back up. Adoption donation and home check apply.

Homes without direct access to private and secure garden
Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours.
