Say hello to Mocaccino, a bright and loving companion

Meet Mocca 🐾

Mocaccino is located in Buckinghamshire.

When Mocca first arrived in foster, he came with a couple of challenges. He struggled with resource guarding and found it difficult to regulate his emotions, often becoming very over-excited.

Fast forward to today, and what a transformation. ❀️

Mocca has learnt how to regulate himself and, with a little reminder when he's getting too much, he can switch from excited and playful back to calm remarkably quickly. His resource guarding around food and water bowls has stopped completely within the home, although his new family will need to understand his history and continue to manage this appropriately.

But perhaps the best thing about Mocca is simply this...

He's happy. πŸ₯°

He is genuinely one of the happiest dogs I've had the pleasure of fostering. He loves people, loves being involved in whatever you're doing and absolutely loves affection. He's the sort of dog who makes you smile just by being around him.

Here's Mocca in a nutshell:

πŸ• Walks nicely on the lead

🐾 Loves a good sniff walk

🐢 Interested in other dogs but walks calmly alongside you

🐱 Lives happily with a cat

πŸš— Travels well in the car

🏠 Settles happily when left alone

❀️ Extremely affectionate and loves interacting with people

🎾 Loves playing and being involved in everything

πŸ• His recall is coming along brilliantly β€” he's now at the stage of having his 10m long line dropped and being allowed to roam within his handler's bubble

😊 A very happy, affectionate and entertaining boy

Mocca is still a young dog at around 18 months old, so he does have plenty of energy and enthusiasm! His new family will need to be confident, consistent and understand the importance of boundaries. He can still become bouncy, mouthy and rush around when play gets exciting, but importantly, this happens during interaction and when told "enough", he settles straight back down.

For this reason, we feel Mocca would be best suited to a couple or family with teenagers and previous dog experience.

We would ideally like Mocca to be the only dog in his new home. He can be a lot for a calmer resident dog because he sees almost every interaction as an invitation to play! A confident, playful dog who genuinely enjoys that sort of interaction could potentially be different β€” but two dogs like that would certainly keep their owners entertained! πŸ˜‚

Mocca's new family will need to continue working on his boundaries, recall and awareness around his previous resource guarding. He doesn't need someone perfect β€” he needs someone confident, consistent, patient and willing to continue giving him the guidance he's already responded so well to.

After everything we've worked through together, I genuinely feel Mocca is ready to move on to his forever family and start the next chapter of his life.

And I honestly think someone is going to be incredibly lucky to have him.

He's just so happy, and he makes me smile so much. ❀️🐾

Mocca is currently being fostered in Aylesbury.

He comes with full rescue backup. Adoption donation and homecheck will apply.

If you think Mocca could be the boy you've been looking for, please get in touch with Freedom Angels Romania to find out more about him and the adoption process. πŸΎπŸ’›
