Meet Sheepy
Here’s Sheepy:
Sheepy went into foster in Teeside on the 23rd February 2026.
Sheepy is a genuinely gorgeous young dog. He is fully house-trained, walks well on a lead, and has great recall (though he can be a little cheeky when there are birds to chase). He is very food-orientated and has lovely manners—he will wait for her resident dog to finish his food and step away before he dives in. Treats and chews, however, are a different story, and he tends to take more of a “you snooze, you lose” approach with her soft-hearted resident dog.
He prefers to keep her company on the school runs rather than stay at home and is happy to snooze in the car. He can be left at home for a few hours and settles well after the initial departure.
He loves his toys and will happily play on his own, but he also enjoys playing with other dogs he has been introduced to. He is quirky, affectionate, and will make someone a very loyal companion.
His Story
When our volunteer spotted Sheepy hiding in the grass along a busy road, she immediately pulled over. As soon as she stepped out of the car, Sheepy looked up and came running straight toward her, his tail wagging with hope.
He was starving, weak, and suffering from an infection — but despite everything, he was so happy to see a friendly face.
Sheepy was rushed to the vets, where he received the treatment and care he desperately needed. Thanks to quick action and lots of love, he is now happy, healthy, and thriving.
