Speedy needs someone!
Please read Speedy’s story
After seven years with his owner, little Speedy suddenly found himself needing a new home. We were devastated when his owner told us that if we didn’t collect him by the end of the week, she would have him euthanised.
Thankfully, we found him an emergency foster home, but it’s far from ideal. Speedy is living in a busy multi-dog household, and although he is coping, it’s clear he would be much happier somewhere quieter.
His foster mum says that underneath it all, Speedy is a gentle little soul. When he’s frightened, he may grumble to let you know he’s worried, —he’s simply scared and trying to make sense of all the changes in his life.
He has been lovely out on walks, has completely fallen in love with his foster mum’s daughter, and his favourite place is snuggled up on the sofa having cuddles with the people he trusts.
We’ve also discovered that his teeth are in a terrible state, so we’ve booked him in for a much-needed dental. He hadn’t been vaccinated for many years either, but we’re getting all of that sorted too. We’re determined to give him the fresh start he deserves.
Now all Speedy needs is a calm, loving home. We’d love to find someone who is home most of the time, can offer him a quiet environment, plenty of patience, and all the love he’s been missing.

Speedy is a wonderful little dog with so much love to give. He simply needs the right person to see past his worries and appreciate the loyal, affectionate companion underneath.
