Winter is located in Oxfordshire.
Winter is a 4-year-old, medium-large mixed breed (22kg), very likely with Husky lineage. She is extraordinarily intelligent, wonderfully expressive, and endlessly affectionate. Full of personality, presence, and playfulness, she’s the kind of dog you don’t forget—and never replace.
Her current owner describes rehoming her as “the most heartbreaking decision of my life.” That is not said lightly. Winter is not just a pet—she is a companion, a source of joy, and an emotional constant. She deserves someone who recognises just how special she is.
What Makes Winter Special:
• Emotionally rich and deeply affectionate – bonds tightly and showers love on those she trusts.
• Playful and dog-social – she has grown up around other dogs and thrives on play and interaction.
• Highly intelligent and vocal – she communicates clearly (sometimes loudly!) and learns fast.
• Beautiful inside and out – striking to look at and full of character.
Important Considerations:
Winter is not a “ready-made” dog. She had a difficult start in life and is reactive on walks—she barks at other dogs and sometimes people, and must be walked on lead. However, this is fear-based, not aggression, and she is trainable. Around those she knows, she is gentle, safe, and incredibly loving.
She:
• Needs an experienced, patient owner who can invest time and structure into reactivity training.
• Should not be in a passive home—she isn’t a “dog in a basket” 23 hours a day.
• Would do well with another well-balanced dog, to support her playfulness and emotional security.
Ideal Home:
Winter belongs with someone who can offer stimulation, affection, consistency, and ideally space to run and play. She will reward you with unwavering loyalty, comedic charm, and moments of profound connection.
