Penny - Adoption Pending
Playful, Loyal, and Full of Personality 🐾
Penny came into foster in Buckinghamshire on 30th April 2025. From Penny’s foster mum:
Penny is an absolutely adorable girl, and we love her dearly.
Penny thrives in the company of other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a playful canine companion. She’s a regular at the enclosed dog park, where she runs, plays, and socialises beautifully with all dogs – and she always comes back when called.
She’s got a real zest for life (and a bit of a spring in her step!), so her new home must have secure fencing of at least 6 feet. She’s been known to hop the middle garden fence and even clear the baby gate, so secure boundaries are a must.
Penny’s quirks:
She does show mild guarding behaviour on rare occasions – for example, if she has a toy or an “acquired” shoe. She’s growled a few times if she thought someone was going to take it away, but responded calmly when it was removed. To avoid issues, she should be fed separately from other pets, and her new home should be experienced in setting clear, consistent boundaries.
Ideal home:
• Another playful dog
• Secure 6ft + fencing
• Teenagers or older (no young children)
• Experienced dog owners
We believe Penny will thrive in the right hands – she’s fun, loving, smart, and loves a good cuddle after a play session.
Penny’s waiting for the home where she can truly shine. Could it be yours?
Please note that she is larger than she looks! She is about the size of a Labrador and would benefit from a playful and energetic other dog in the home.
Her Story
Penny is from a litter of six. Her mother lives in a village close to the home of our volunteer. Despite begging and pleading her owner refused to have the mother sterilised. Countless unwanted puppies are being born only to be thrown away like rubbish. Fortunately our volunteer was able to secure this litter and keep them safe until ready travel to the UK.
If you think you could offer Penny the forever home she’s been dreaming of, please reach out.
