Penny has made the journey to the UK. Now looking for a brighter future

One of six from another unwanted pregnancy…..

Penny came into foster in Tyne and Wear on 30th April 2025. Please watch this space for more photos and updates

Penny is a 6-month-old rescue pup who’s settling into foster life in the North East and quickly winning hearts along the way.

She’s got that perfect mix of puppy energy and cuddle potential – one minute she’s zooming around the garden, the next she’s curled up on the sofa. Penny is clever, curious, and learning fast. Toilet training is going well, she’s starting to get the hang of lead walking, and she already knows that sitting nicely gets her extra snacks. She’s food-motivated and always ready to “help” you in the kitchen – whether you want her to or not.

Penny gets along well with other dogs and would love a canine companion to show her the ropes (and maybe share a toy or two, if they’re lucky). She’s also affectionate and loves people – though she’s still learning that she has nothing to fear from people.

She’s still a pup, so ongoing training and structure will help her grow into the brilliant dog we know she’s going to be. A home that’s ready for the fun, chaos, and cuddles that come with a young dog would be perfect.

Penny’s got a big heart, a wiggly bum, and a lot of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a hint of cheekiness, Penny might just be your girl.

Her Story

Penny is from a litter of six. Her mother lives in a village close to the home of our volunteer. Despite begging and pleading her owner refused to have the mother sterilised. Countless unwanted puppies are being born only to be thrown away like rubbish. Fortunately our volunteer was able to secure this litter and keep them safe until ready travel to the UK.

If you think you could offer Penny the forever home she’s been dreaming of, please reach out.
