Meet Vanda - A dog worth Meeting
Vanda is such a brave young lady…..
Vanda came into foster in Dorset on 7th April 2025. She is a shy little girl but is quickly learning that she is now safe and does not need to fear the human hand.

Vanda arrived a really nervous girl who was almost unapproachable. She slept outside for several nights as that was all she was used to. Three weeks on and what a change! She now sleeps indoors and has really adapted to a home life.
Vanda is amazing on her lead walks around the busy streets. Just recently we have had walks where I can let her off the lead. She loves that freedom, always looks for me and never runs off.
She trusts me now and is so faithful. Follows me everywhere!!. She loves other dogs and is growing in confidence when meeting other people.
A beautiful dog who will love you to the end. I cannot believe the change in her. So loving and cuddly. It proves that all these gorgeous rescue dogs need is time, patience and LOVE.
Her Story Vanda was sadly found abandoned on the outskirts of town, an area known for being a dumping ground for unwanted dogs. It’s a harsh place with little food and many bigger, stronger dogs competing to survive. Her and her sister were only a few months old so they are so lucky to have survived. She has spent most of her life in the junkyard where life was just as terrifying. Whenever our volunteers visited she would hide away. We just could lot leave her there.
