Size: Around 23kg. Medium.

Health tests: Negative for heartworm, 4DX and Leishmania. Spayed and neutered.

Medical: Sara has a permanent titanium implant in her front right leg after a bad break. She has recovered really well and is active and bouncy, though she may occasionally lift the paw after a long walk. She put on weight in the shelter and needs to slim down to take pressure off that leg.

Character: Sara is loving and trusting with people. She is fine with cats and other dogs but needs to be fed separately, as she is always hungry.

Her Story

Sara was found by the roadside with a broken leg, weighing just 12 kg. She is now 23kg but we think a little overweight.

Our volunteer initially thought she was a black bag.

Freedom Angels regret we cannot consider foster applications for Sara from:

  • People under 25 years old

  • People with children under 10 years old

  • Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

  • Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours in a working day

Tested for known parasite conditions. Also for Leishmaniasis. Pursuant to government regulations all dogs have their blood tested here in the UK for Brucellosis prior to entry and enter the UK within 30 days of the blood being drawn. All dogs are microchipped.
