His Story

On our trips to Romania, we regularly visit a shelter run by a German organisation that cares for over 1,000 dogs. Whenever an older dog arrives, the shelter’s vet reaches out to us for help, knowing how difficult it can be for senior dogs to cope in such a large environment.

When we saw photos of Arthur and learned that he had been dumped at the gates in his old age, we knew we couldn’t turn away. Without hesitation, we made the decision to bring him to the UK, where he would have the chance to feel safe, loved, and cared for.

Freedom Angels regret we cannot consider applications for Arthur from

• People under 25 years old

• People with children under 10 years old

• Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours in a working day
