Ronnie so deserves a home

This is Ronnie’s story.

In February 2020 right before the pandemic we visited one of the worst private shelters we have ever seen. The dogs are kept in small dark cages, never leaving for exercise, no enrichment and no socialisation. Freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer.

This is where we met Ronnie. He was in a cage with a mum and her three pups. He was a pup himself. We were able to get the mum and her pups out just as lockdown fell across Europe but sadly Ronnie remained.

We didn’t return to this shelter until Spring of 2022 and sadly Ronnie was still there. Then again in November 2022 and Ronnie was still there. He was now over 3 years old. When he was still there in October 2023 our volunteers could not bear it and clubbed together to send him to a facility owned by our transport company.

Ronnie is now in foster in East Sussex. Here is what his foster parent has to say about him so far:

Ronnie is doing quite well. Adjusting to us & living a house. Coping with house hold things, needs abit more time with being house trained. We took him to have a shampoo & nail clip and the lady said he was good. We have taken him in the car, and he was a bit nervous, we worry that he thinks he's going back to Romania. He is also good with our cat Boris.

Ronnie comes with full rescue back up. Adoption donation and home check apply.

Please note, we are unable to consider for adoption for Ronnie:

  • People under 25 years old

  • People with children under 10 years old

  • Homes without direct access to a secure garden

  • Families with un-neutered dogs

  • Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours on a regular basis.

Freedom Angels Romania regret that we can only place dogs and puppies in England, South and West Wales, and the Islands around the South Coast, due to logistical issues.
