Meet Alexa

Could you love Alexa?

Alexa went into foster in Lincolnshire on 13th October 2025.

‘Alexa is a quiet gentle soul; she’s come on so well since arriving in the Uk and now loves to play with toys and do zoomies around the garden. She’s very loving once she gets to know you and loves a gentle brush. She still needs the security of a crate or somewhere similar but she regularly comes to greet us at the door and now explores the whole house. She would be best suited to a home on her own or with one or two confident playful dogs of a similar size. She’s fine with cats and currently shares a home with four felines! Alexa is now fully harness trained and is doing really well with her lead training - her future adopters will need to continue the training but as she does anything for cheese treats this shouldn’t be difficult! Slip leads will probably always be a no for Alexa. She is completely toilet trained and she is happy to be left for periods of time. She rarely barks and has shown no interest in going on sofas or beds - despite watching the other dogs in the house do this!! She’s a very unassuming young lady who just needs the right home to flourish.

Her Story

Alexa and her pups Lianne and Linus were brought from a sheep farm and dumped in our volunteers’s village as the pups were very sick and the farmer didn’t want to waste food on them. Alexa was very afraid of everyone and could not be touched. Our volunteer spotted Alexa and her pups on the edge of the village and as the dog catcher was in the area she knew she had to bring them to safety.
