Meet Fern

Get to know Fern!

Fern went into foster in Dorset on the 9th June 2025 and is a gentle soul with a heart full of love, looking for a patient and understanding forever home.

From her foster mum:

Fern is extremely nervous, especially around new people and men, but she’s made incredible progress. After two weeks with us, she now comes wagging her tail for cuddles and affection. While she’s still wary of men, she has learned to feel comfortable enough to share a room with my husband – a big step for her.

She’s fully house-trained and has had no accidents at all. She’s wonderful with other dogs and cats – calm, non-reactive, and without a single ounce of aggression or dominance. Truly one of the sweetest and gentlest dogs I’ve ever met.

Due to her anxiety, she’s only comfortable going outside for about 10 minutes at a time, and only in our quiet cul-de-sac. She gets nervous and pulls to go back inside, but with time and the right support, this could improve.

Fern is an absolute angel when left alone – no barking, chewing, or messes. She’s low-maintenance in many ways, but will thrive best in a calm, quiet home with someone who can give her time, patience, and lots of love.

If you think you can offer Fern the safe, loving home she deserves, please get in touch!
