Say hello to Vella!

Vella went into foster in Surrey on the 9th June 2025. Please keep an eye out here for photos and updates.

Her Story

Vella came from Scortaru, a village our volunteer works in. Locals believe her elderly owner passed away—and the family that inherited the property discarded her like she didn’t matter. Vella carries a scar from a burn on her nose (a tradition in Romania to prevent distemper).

Freedom Angels regret we cannot consider applications for Vella from

• People under 25 years old

• People with children under 10 years old

• Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours on a regular basis.
