Introducing Kai…..
Kai came into foster in Cumbria on 16th December 2024
Since December, Kai’s been in foster care, politely waiting for someone to notice that he’s actually the full package. And yet… not a single nibble. Not a wink. Not even a mildly interested “tell me more.”
He’s like that sweet, slightly awkward kid at the school dance—leaning on the wall with hopeful eyes and a well-practiced two-step, just waiting for someone to take a chance. Or the pup version of the kid who always got picked last for footy, even though he has surprisingly excellent reflexes and a heart of pure gold.
Kai isn’t flashy. He’s not going to jump through flaming hoops or win any reality shows. But he will follow you around like your loyal little shadow, politely lie at your feet while you read, and tilt his head in the most charming way when you speak to him like he’s fluent in English.
He’s got a gentle soul, a soft coat, and a quiet sense of humor—he just needs someone to see past the “wallflower” exterior and realize he’s the hidden gem of the dance floor.

History
Kai was put on the end of a chain at 4 months old. Our rescuer in Romania formed a relationship with his owner which enable her to vaccinate and regularly treat him for parasites. One day when she visited his owner told her that Kai has run away. The evidence suggested poor Kai has not run away but been thrown away. Our rescuer began searching for him and found him hiding behind some bins.
