Meet Lara

Say hello to Lara!

Lara went into foster in Oxfordshire on the 1st June 2026.

From her foster family:

We’ve had little Lara for two weeks now and I can honestly say it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I have been so impressed by how quickly she has been willing to trust again. When she first arrived she was so scared she hid in a bush for an hour. She flinched whenever we tried to pet her, and cowered whenever we came into the room.

Jump to now, and she is possibly the wiggliest, friendliest dog I’ve ever met. She’s desperate for cuddles and attention, and if she doesn’t feel like she’s had enough, she throws herself at your feet and rolls around until you give her some more.

She is fully toilet trained, and walks very well on her harness. She really enjoys the company of other dogs, and would really benefit from a confident dog to help her settle in. While she may take time to warm up to new people, once she trusts you, she will definitely be your best and most loyal friend!

Her Story

Lara was tied to the gates of a rundown shelter in a village on the outskirts of Braila. She was heavily pregnant. Unfortunately, the pups did not survive.

Lara is spayed.
