Meet Norman 🐾
Norman is a sweet little character who has settled beautifully into home life and is enjoying discovering what it means to feel safe and loved. His favourite place is snuggled up for a cuddle, and he’ll happily ask to be picked up when he’s in the mood for some affection!
He’s a clever boy who is learning every day. Norman already knows to sit for a treat, will wait patiently when you’re leaving the house, and is very food-motivated, which makes training enjoyable and rewarding. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, is house-trained (although he may have the occasional little excited dribble!), and is happy to be left for a few hours either in his crate or with free run of the house. He’s not destructive and is generally very settled.
Norman walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys getting out and about. While he can be a little cautious when meeting other dogs, he greets them politely. He’s also fantastic with cats and other small animals, happily saying hello without any fuss.
Like many terriers, Norman has a big personality in a little body. Since settling into a loving home, he has become a little protective of his favourite person and his home, sometimes giving a quiet growl if he feels unsure. This behaviour is improving with positive training, reassurance and careful management, and he’s learning that he doesn’t need to worry because he’s safe. He’ll also let you know if someone is at the door, making a great little alert dog, but he isn’t an excessive barker.
Norman would be happiest in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand his need for space and routine. He is looking for a patient family who will continue building his confidence and celebrate the wonderful little dog he is becoming.

His Story
We found Norman on our most recent trip Romania. It was our last night and we were returning to the hotel after dinner. He was running in traffic and was happy to be scooped up by us. His eyes were in a terrible state. Fortunately our vet opened up for us and we were able take him straight there to be tested and checked for a microchip. No chip but apart from his eyes he was healthy.

Tested for known parasite conditions. Also for Leishmaniasis. Pursuant to government regulations all dogs have their blood tested here in the UK for Brucellosis prior to entry and enter the UK within 30 days of the blood being drawn. All dogs are microchipped.
