Meet Melanie

This is our lovely Melanie.

Melanie went into foster in Oxfordshire on 1st September 2025.

Her Story

Little Melanie was heartlessly dumped by the side of the road. Some kind people selling watermelons nearby offered her food and water, but even though she was painfully skinny, she didn’t touch it. Instead, she just kept staring down the road, waiting for the car that had abandoned her—hoping her owners would come back.

When we found her, she also had several nasty dog bites that needed urgent treatment.

Freedom Angels regret we cannot consider applications for Melanie from

• People under 25 years old

• People with children under 10 years old

• Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours in a working day
