Meet Petunia
Petunia went into foster in Bedfordshire on the 5th October 2026.
Please keep your eyes peeled for photos and updates to come.
Her Story
When friends of the charity found Petunia in the fields, they thought she was dead.
She lay still, so thin that every bone showed. Her coat was a solid mass of mats, her fur and tail had been crudely chopped, and her body was crawling with ticks and fleas. It was hard to believe there was any life left in her at all.
But there was. Petunia was still fighting.
We brought her into our care and began the long process of putting her back together. Her coat was too far gone to save, so it all had to come off, taking with it the weight of everything she had endured. Beneath it was a fragile, frightened little dog who had been forgotten for far too long.
With treatment, food and gentle hands, Petunia is slowly learning that the world can be kind. The dog we almost mistook for lost is now discovering something she has never known before.
Hope.
