Meet Georgie Porgie
Georgie Porgie went into foster in Dorset on the 24th August 2026.
Georgie Porgie is the most adorable puppy with the sweetest, gentlest temperament. He absolutely loves people and is always happy to be picked up, cuddled, or hugged. He has never shown any aggression in the home, and is believed he would make a wonderful companion for a family with young children.
Although he has only been out on a few walks so far, he has been a little nervous around some larger dogs and has growled when he felt frightened. This is understandable, as everything is still very new to him, and with gentle socialisation his confidence should continue to grow.
Georgie is currently living with two other dogs and absolutely loves their company. He especially enjoys following the resident large male dog around and clearly feels relaxed and reassured by dogs he knows.
He adores fuss and affection but is equally happy to settle down and relax when his foster carers are busy. He has a lovely, easy-going nature and is content to simply be part of the family.
He is making excellent progress with his toilet training. After just two weeks in foster care, he is getting it right around 60% of the time outside, with only occasional accidents indoors. He’s learning quickly and improving every day.
Despite only having been out a couple of times, Georgie is fantastic on the lead. He walks beautifully with no pulling at all.
He has also been incredibly well behaved in the home. He hasn’t chewed or damaged any furniture or household items, although he does enjoy having chewy toys to keep him occupied.
Georgie is also fine with cats, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household.
Georgie is truly one very special, loving, intelligent little puppy. He has so much love to give and would fit beautifully into almost any family looking for a loyal, gentle, and affectionate companion.
His Story
At our last Spayathon in July, we hired a professional to go out with a dart gun, which enabled us to catch dogs in the fields that we’d never normally be able to reach. This is how we were able to bring in Georgie.
At the time, we didn’t realise just how young he was. Given his age, he was simply too young to be put back out into the fields, so we took him into our care instead.

Tested for known parasite conditions. Also for Leishmaniasis. Pursuant to government regulations all dogs have their blood tested here in the UK for Brucellosis prior to entry and enter the UK within 30 days of the blood being drawn. All dogs are microchipped.
