Introducing Reeva 🐾

Reeva went into foster in Derbyshire on 18th May 2026.

Reeva was very nervous of everyone when she first arrived, but she’s settled beautifully — quickly learning, with help from her foster family’s dogs, that she’s happy to be fussed by females, and by some (though not all) males too.

She walks nicely once on the lead, though she can still be a little nervous when it’s first clipped to her collar, and likes to swap sides as she goes. Traffic makes her a bit anxious, but she’s improving all the time. She’s also wonderfully respectful around her foster family’s cats.

She isn’t the biggest fan of car journeys and needs to be lifted in, but once inside she settles well — this is very much a work in progress. Wherever she’s left to sleep, she’s happy to settle there, and she’s fully house trained; if she sleeps upstairs, she’ll usually wake her person around 6.30am for her morning outside trip.

Reeva would really benefit from having another dog in her new home to help guide and reassure her, as she can still be nervous when touched. With the right patience and support, though, she’s an amazing little girl — and whoever gives her a home will be very lucky indeed.

She is approximately 15kgs in weight.

Her Story

Reeva is one of 4 pups born on the streets. We have their mum also under our care. The second generation from a girl thrown out when her owner died. The family wanted the house but not the dog. She went on to have pups and then the pups went on to breed. The never ending cycle of Romania.

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours in a working day
