Meet Russo
Introducing Russo 🐾
Russo went into foster in Cumbria on 18th May 2026.
Russo is a lovely little boy who is looking for a patient family to help him continue his journey. Like many rescue dogs, he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once he knows you, his confident and affectionate personality begins to shine through.
He has settled into home life incredibly well and has quickly discovered just how wonderful cosy beds and home comforts can be! Russo sleeps soundly through the night and is making great progress with his toilet training, although he will need a little continued guidance as he settles into his forever home.
Russo walks beautifully on the lead and takes everyday sights and sounds, including traffic, in his stride. He has a healthy appetite, is very food motivated, and is always happy to earn a tasty treat, making him keen to learn and easy to reward.
He gets on well with other dogs and really enjoys having canine company. Because of this, we feel Russo would thrive in a home with another friendly, playful dog who can continue to build his confidence and enjoy adventures with him.
Russo has come such a long way since arriving in foster care and is now ready to find a family of his own. With a little patience, kindness and love, he will make a wonderful companion and repay you with loyalty, fun and plenty of happy moments.
His Story
Russo is one of 4 pups born on the streets. We have their mum also under our care. The second generation from a girl thrown out when her owner died. The family wanted the house but not the dog. She went on to have pups and then the pups went on to breed. The never ending cycle of Romania.
