Meet Star

Star went into foster in Staffordshire on the 18th May 2026.

This gorgeous girl is everything you’d expect from a young girl – playful, affectionate, full of fun and always ready for her next meal! 🍖

She loves a good chew toy, is learning to walk nicely on her lead and harness, and is picking things up quickly. She’s already mastered sitting patiently at mealtimes and waits politely until she’s told, “Go on then!” She isn’t fussy with her food either – wet, dry, raw or home-cooked, she’s happy with them all.

She’s almost fully house-trained, although if it’s pouring with rain she’d much rather stay indoors. Thankfully, we’ve been short on rain just recently.

She enjoys the company of other dogs and would happily share her home with a playful canine friend. That said, she’s still so young that she would also adapt well as an only dog with a family who can give her plenty of love, playtime and guidance.

Like many rescue puppies, she can be a little unsure if you approach her too quickly. But once she trusts you, she’ll come looking for cuddles herself—and be warned… once you start giving her fuss, she won’t let you stop! ❤️ She’s a lovable little donut with a huge heart, just waiting for someone to help her continue growing into the wonderful dog she’s already becoming.

Could you be the family she’s been waiting for?

🐾 Please share to help this beautiful girl find the loving home she deserves.

Her Story

Back in October last year, our team was out in the countryside near Constanța, visiting one of the small villages where so many street dogs struggle to survive.

There we found a lovely little group of dogs living peacefully together. They looked after one another, welcomed us with wagging tails, and were grateful for the food we gave them. We were able to rescue two of the dogs that day, and we’re delighted to say they are now living happy lives in their forever homes here in the UK.

Sadly, not long after our visit, we received devastating news. The local dog catchers had been into the village and rounded up the remaining dogs, taking them to the public kill shelter.

We immediately began searching for them. Despite our best efforts, we were only able to find four of the dogs before it was too late. Those four were rescued from the shelter and brought to safety.

Star was one of them.
