Meet Lady
This is lovely Lady!
Lady went to kennels in Wiltshire on the 23rd February 2026.
Lady is a beautiful Siberian Husky whose early life in Romania was marked by hardship and heartbreak.
She lived outdoors in a yard with her brother, often left alone for long periods of time. When their barking began to irritate neighbours, poisoned meat was cruelly thrown over the fence, killing her brother.
From that moment on, Lady was kept confined in an outhouse for days at a time for her own safety — but it was no life for such an intelligent, social breed. The family reached out to our volunteer in Romania and we were asked to step in.
We have now taken Lady into our care and are bringing her to kennels in Wiltshire, where she will be fully assessed and given the fresh start she so desperately deserves.
Tragically, just before leaving Romania, she was attacked by a larger dog at the shelter, suffering a severe injury to her ear that required surgery and stitches to repair.
Despite everything she has endured, Lady remains gentle and resilient, and we are committed to giving her the safe, loving future she has always deserved.
