Amaya went into foster in Oxfordshire on the 24th August 2026.

Amaya — a pocket rocket with a huge personality

Like Mary Poppins, she’s practically perfect in every way. From day one, Amaya has been an absolute dream.

She’s toilet trained to use the garden when the doors are open, and reliably uses pads otherwise — with the occasional (understandable) accident. She’s quick to learn, already sits on command, and waits patiently for her turn when treats are being handed out.

Amaya plays beautifully with the household’s two boy dogs and, despite the size difference, takes no nonsense from them. She’d love a canine playmate of her own. There’s no food guarding here — she eats alongside the others and waits until everyone’s finished before doing the rounds to lick the bowls clean.

She’s a little reserved with new people at first, but give her a minute and she’ll be on your lap begging for cuddles. She adores children.

Amaya has slept through the night since day one and is settled enough to be left alone for a couple of hours without any issues.

Her Story

Four siblings were living under bushes in an industrial area close to our foster yard. We were able to rescue all 4 sisters: Alona, Aurina, Amaya and Anuka.

Freedom Angels regret we cannot consider applications for Amaya from

• People under 25 years old

• People with children under 10 years old

• Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours in a working day

Tested for known parasite conditions. Also for Leishmaniasis. Pursuant to government regulations all dogs have their blood tested here in the UK for Brucellosis prior to entry and enter the UK within 30 days of the blood being drawn. All dogs are microchipped.
